Cristian Marciulescu Mr. Cristian Marciulescu

Cristian Marciulescu is a Principal Technical Leader working for the EPRI Advanced Nuclear Technology (ANT) Team, where he is providing technical leadership and project management support for the Commissioning and Initial Operations and the Advanced Reactors technical focus areas.

Prior to joining EPRI in 2016, Cristian was a technical leader for two years with TerraPower (Advanced Reactor development company located in Bellevue, WA), where he was responsible for the I&C and Nuclear Island Design technology integration, system development and system interfaces. Before his TerraPower role, Cristian accumulated twelve years of nuclear engineering experience, working for two commercial nuclear vendors, Westinghouse Electric and Babcock and Wilcox (mPower project), where he was a Principal Engineer holding roles of lead core designer, core power monitoring instructor and reactor system engineer.

Cristian earned a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Science degree in nuclear engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of Bucharest (Romania), a Master of Science Degree in nuclear engineering from the Ohio State University, and a Master of Business Administration degree from Lynchburg College School of Business.
