Jean Ragusa Dr. Jean Ragusa

Jean Ragusa is a Professor of nuclear engineering and the Associate Director of the Institute for Scientific Computation at Texas A&M University. His expertise includes reactor physics modeling and design, high performance computing for multiphysics and radiation transport simulations, and data science applied to nuclear science and engineering.

Pr. Ragusa received an Engineering Physics Diploma from Grenoble National School of Physics, France, in 1996, a master’s degree in Nuclear Engineering from Texas A&M University in 1996, and Doctorate Degree in Engineering Physics from Grenoble National Polytechnic in 2001. Prior to joining Texas A&M University in 2004, he was employed as an R&D engineer at the CEA, center of Saclay, France.

He has published over 57 refereed journal articles and over 100 conference papers. He maintains very active collaboration with engineers and scientists at the DOE’s NE and NNSA laboratories, where most of his PhD students are employed post-graduation.
